Freshman sire Henny Hughes was represented by his fourth winner on August 21 when Debbie's Ferarri broke her maiden at first asking at Emerald Downs.
After leading briefly soon after the start, Debbie's Ferrari was content to press the pace in second and then took the lead in the stretch, drawing away in the final strides to win by a widening three lengths.
Bred by her owner, Northwest Farms LLC, the 2-year-old filly did not reach her reserve at Keeneland's 2009 September Yearling Sale and was bought back for $65,000. She is out of the multiple stakes winning Jade Hunter mare Silver and Jade, she the dam of listed winners Cherokee Echo (by Cherokee Run) and Notoriously.
