Freshman sire Offlee Wild sired his fourth individual winner on June 4, when Cowboy Sheik was victorious at Lone Star Park.
Settled off the pace, Cowboy Sheikh raced three wide on the turn and finished gamely to win the five-furlong contest by a length.
Owned and bred by Heiligbrodt Stable, he is out of the Stakes-winning mare Tenacious Treasure who has now produced six winners from six foals to race, including dual Stakes winner Sago.
Offlee Wild, who was himself a precocious racehorse who won every year from two to five, now boasts an impressive 50 per cent strike rate with his runners. Tomball, also owned and bred by Heiligbrodt Stable, will bid to become his young sire’s first Stakes winner this weekend when he lines up in the TTA Sales Futurity on Saturday.
