Freshman sire Consolidator notched his first Stakes winner on October 3, when his daughter Queen Imidala ran out the convincing winner of the one-and-one-sixteenth mile John W. Galbreath Memorial S at Thistledown.
Settled in second on the outside, the Craig Holstein-trained filly pressed the pace throughout and took the lead approaching the far turn. Picking up in the stretch, Queen Imadala eased clear of her rivals close to home and crossed the wire two-and-three-quarter lengths ahead of Adreamfordarlene..
This was her second successive win, having broken her maiden by more than eight lengths on September 23.
Bred by Catherine E. Sheppell & William R. Sheppell, Queen Imidala is out of the winning mare Fit N’ Pretty who is also dam of Stakes winner March Dancer.
Consolidator is sire of 12 individual winners and a further three Stakes performers in Absolute Music, Dubai Miracle and Encore Saritta.
