The Darley-bred Etive became Elusive Quality’s latest stakes winner on Sunday when landing the Listed Grosser Preis der Mehl-Mulhens Stiftung over seven furlongs at Hannover in Germany.
The three-year-old filly represents the successful Elusive Quality-Danehill cross, other examples of which are the outstanding Australian-bred Sepoy, winner of the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on Sunday, Induna, who was runner-up in the G1 VRC Derby on the same card, and his G1-winning full-sister Camarilla.
Etive’s dam is Firth Of Lorne, whose Street Cry two-year-old Falls Of Lora is a dual winner for Godolphin this year.
Elusive Quality is the sire of 71 stakes winners, eight of which are G1 winners, including this year’s Prix Marcel Boussac heroine Elusive Kate who is set to run at next week’s Breeders’ Cup meeting.
