Off a step slow when finishing second in his first start on September 7th, Frosted’s juvenile son Ten for Ten bettered that performance by one when winning his second start by eight lengths at Belmont on October 16th. Sent off as the favorite in the field of nine, he is one of eight winners from the first crop of the record-breaking Met Mile winner.
The Shug McGaughey-trained colt was quickest out of the gate and never looked back while easily winning the one and one-sixteenth mile event over a sloppy track.
Ten for Ten is out of a half-sister to G1Ws Creative Cause and Vexatious, G2W/classic-placed Destin, and to the dam of Stakes-placed Der Lu and Smartly Agree.
Frosted’s other winners are TDN Rising Star and G1 Alcibiades third Travel Column, TDN Rising Star Inject, eight-length Belmont winner Likeable, ten-length Churchill winner Frosted Prayer, Saratoga winner Restored Order, other Belmont winner Frost Me, and Churchill winner Tkotchke. He's the only freshman with multiple TDN Rising Stars and the only stallion in America with three juveniles to have run an 80+ Beyer this year.
