A bay filly by Any Given Saturday topped the first day of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2010 Selected Yearling Sale on August 24. Named Going Mavercki, she is out of Ricki S (by Prized), a full sister to Graded winner and millionaire Brass Hat. She was consigned by Beth Bayer, agent.
Earlier this summer, at Fasig-Tipton’s July Freshman Sire Showcase in Lexington, Kentucky, Any Given Saturday was represented by the third highest-priced yearling at $235,000. His current yearling average stands at an impressive $142,153.
Any Given Saturday was himself a $1.1 million yearling and went on to be a G2 juvenile and defeated Horse of the Year Curlin in a great Haskell Invitational (G1).
