20th Career Stakes victory for millionaire Star Guitar

Son of Quiet American scores in La. Bred Premier Night Championship Stakes

We shouldn't be surprised, but he did it again! Quiet American's millionaire son Star Guitar recorded a remarkable 20th career Stakes victory at Delta Downs February 4 in the La. Bred Premier Night Championship Stakes. The seven-year-old's most recent victory came in December in the Louisiana Champions Day Classic Stakes.

In the one and one-sixteenth mile race Star Guitar positioned himself well back and steadily advanced throughout. Coming into the final turn he began to take charge and cruised to a victory by more than three lengths.

Star Guitar was bred by Brittlyn Stable, Inc., M. Benoit, and E. Benoit. He is out of Stakes winner Minit Towinit, by Malagra. He is a half-brother to Stakes winning Grand Minit and Favorite Minit.

Quiet American is the sire of 50 Stakes winners and counting. They include G1 Kentucky Derby winner Real Quiet and G1-winning mare Cara Rafaela, the dam of the great young sire Bernardini. In 2011 his top yearling sold for $430,000. Quiet American is a powerful influence for both soundness and class.

Quiet American stands the current breeding season for $15,000.
