Second Stakes success for son of Elusive Quality

Whitlam records Listed win in South Australia

Elusive Quality gelding Whitlam recorded his second Stakes success with victory in the Listed City of Marion Stakes at Morphettville, South Australia, December 6.

After settling back behind midfield in the six-furlong sprint, Whitlam came with a powerful finish in the straight to claim a half-length win.

Bred by Darley, Whitlam is one of seven winners for Danehill mare Weaver Of Words and is a half-brother to Stakes winner Hairy as well as Stakes performers Authoress and Riddle Me This.

The sire of 110 Stakes winners including 13 at the elite level, among them World Champion 3yo sprinter Sepoy, four-time G1 winner Quality Road and multiple G1 winner Raven's Pass, Elusive Quality will stand the 2015 season for $40,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
