Enterprising much the best in Eddie Logan Stakes

Elusive Quality two-year-old impressive at Santa Anita

Coming off a Maiden Special Weight victory at Hollywood in November, two-year-old Enterprising took his Stakes debut in the Eddie Logan Stakes at Santa Anita December 28 and proves to be an exciting young juvenile for Elusive Quality.

Settling in third position in the one-mile turf race, Enterprising patiently stalked the pace. Down the stretch the colt went four-wide when asked and charged to victory to prove much the best.

A homebred for Glen Hill Farm, Enterprising now has two wins from three starts and remains perfect on the turf. Enterprising is out of the A.P. Indy mare Indy Blaze, a half-sister to G1 winner Stravinsky. The Elusive Quality colt's granddam is another turf specialist in G1 Beverly D Stakes winner Fire The Groom.

A sire of tremendous runners around the world, Elusive Quality is known for G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, and Australian Champion and G1 winner Sepoy. Enterprising marks the 94th Stakes winner for the sire, who has been represented by 32 Graded/Group winners thus far in his career.

Elusive Quality will stand the upcoming breeding season for $50,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
