Son of Street Sense rises to the occasion

Sense Of Occasion claims Listed McKell Cup in Australia

Highly-promising young Street Sense stayer Sense Of Occasion recorded his maiden Stakes success with victory in the Listed McKell Cup at Randwick, May 23.

Sent out favorite by punters, Sense Of Occasion was brilliantly ridden by Tim Clark who positioned the four-year-old in behind the speed in the early stages. Sense Of Occasion strode to the lead shortly after turning for home and quickly put the race beyond doubt.

Bred by Shadwell Stud Australasia, Sense Of Occasion is out of Zabeel mare Saywaan, a half-sister to Singspiel’s G1-winning daughter Rewaaya.

Sense Of Occasion is one of 33 Stakes winners for Street Sense, among them G1 winners Sweet Reason, Aubby K, Hallowed Crown and Callback.
