New winner for Street Boss

Stasio is number 14 for freshman sire

Street Boss colt Stasio became winner number 14 for his sire with a two-and-a-quarter length victory at Lingfield in the UK on Saturday.

Sent off a short-priced favorite, the two-year-old took to the lead with a furlong to run in the mile contest to land a comfortable victory under William Buick on just his second start.

Bred in the US by Hinkle Farms and Thomas T Ladt, Stasio is out of the Chimes Band mare Believe. He was sold at Keeneland as a yearling and was then a 280,000gns purchase at this year’s Tattersalls Craven Breeze-up Sale in Newmarket.

Street Boss, who stands for $10,000, is the sire of three black-type performers in his first crop, including Edmonton Juvenile Stakes winner Bosco, who in unbeaten in two starts, Cape Bastone, who was third in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and G1 Frontrunner Stakes, and Sheistheboss.
