Big weekend continues for Elusive Quality at Del Mar

Son Enterprising impressive in G3 La Jolla Handicap

On August 8th, Elusive Quality crossed a memorable threshold when daughter Seduire became his 100th career blacktype winner when annexing the Wine Country Debutante Stakes at Santa Rosa. A little less than 24 hours later, his talented three-year-old son Enterprising became Graded/Group winner number 34 for his sire with a win in the G3 La Jolla Handicap at Del Mar.

Just as he had done in the Oceanside Stakes in his last start, Enterprising allowed all in the field a bit of a headstart as he settled in at the back of the pack until the group of six had made it around the track to the final turn. He then unleashed an impressive turn of foot while passing the five in front of him to win going away.

Enterprising races in the colors of Glen Hill Farm who is also his breeder. He now lists five wins on the turf from six starts over the surface with a complete race record that shows only one off-the-board finish in nine starts. Enterprising is out of the A.P. Indy mare Indy Blaze, a half-sister to G1 winner Stravinsky. The Elusive Quality colt's granddam is another turf specialist in G1 Beverly D Stakes winner Fire The Groom.

Elusive Quality is the sire of 92 career Group or Graded performers, incuding, Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, Champion filly Certify, Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and Darley sire Raven's Pass,Australian champion Sepoy and multiple European G1 winner Elusive Kate.
